Platform Overview:
The To Seek, To Find class High Endurance Research Cruiser is the heart of the High Guard's intergalactic exploration efforts. Capable of long-term, independent operations far from established Slipstream portals in uncharted regions of space, the HRCs are equipped for the study of any new scientific phenomenon or research opportunity. Although well armed in the interest of their own self-defense, these vessels are crewed primarily by civilian scientists and engineers. Traditionally, the CO of an HRC is also the Chief Scientist and is supported by an Argosy XO who oversees the crew and combat operations. An HRC can be recalled for combat duty, but only in the direst emergencies.
